Game of Thrones Inspired Hair

For the past year and a half I've been overly obsessed with Game of Thrones. It's my favorite show and I can watch it over and over without getting tired of it. It's been quite a journey from hating the show at its first episodes to falling deeply in love with Jon Snow and stalking him all through tumblr, I think I am ready to call myself a true GOT fan. In honor of the new season and all the amazing new surprises the show has in store for us I decided to make some GOT inspired hair ideas for us girly fans who wish to look the part for whenever we're ready to take a trip to Westeros.
The hairstyles of the show are actually quite tricky to make, especially if we're talking about Cersei's huge braid up do, so I decided to make everything a little more simple and just stick to twist braids and normal braids. I gathered a few friends of mine that I knew would look the part for this and came up with four different hairstyles inspired by some of my favorite female characters of GOT.

The first hairstyle is kind of inspired by Sansa Stark and her various stages between season 2 when she's little by little becoming miserable in Kingslanding and season 4 right before she becomes a total badass.

  1. Part your hair in the center
  2. Take two medium size pieces from each side and make two twist braids so one is on top of the other
  3. Twist them so they meet at the back of your head
  4. Braid them together and you're done

This next hairstyle is pretty much the same as the last one except you have to leave to thin strands of hair at the front of your face and curl it so it you get those waves that will frame your face. Also make the twist braids much more tight and instead of braiding them together, you pin them at the back and let them loose. Add waves to the rest of your hair and you're done.

Mergaery's inspired hair is a little more tricky, but it involves twisting braids, as well. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures while I was doing the hair so hopefully my description will be useful for this, if not I will gladly do it step by step again with pictures, but for now this will have to do.

Again you will part your hair in the center and make two twist braids on each side, instead of connecting them to the back with another twist braid you will hold them with an elastic band. Next, grab a bottom section of your hair and tie it at the top with an elastic and pass that section through the loop of your twist braids, curl your hair and you're done.

This was probably my favorite one out of all of the hairstyles, probably because my model was the cutest thing in the world. But anyways, it was actually super simple. Part your hair in half, make two normal braids on each side and connect them braiding them all the way to the end. Hold with bobby pins and curl your hair. reference.

I hope this was somewhat useful and I give you my word, they are not at all hard, they just take a little time but I promise the finished product will look great. That's all for now and remember when you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.
